POETRY NIGHT
Thursday 25th March, 7:00-8:30 pm. Breschia Hall

Hot coffee, sweet desserts, roaring fireplace, a room full of friends, and poetry--no better way to send off Winter and welcome in Spring. At Poetry Night at the Arts Alive Festival, from 7 to 8:30 PM on Thursday the 25th, students will share original poetry, recite favorite poems, and share other poetry projects and art developed in the classroom. Organized by the English departments at Cardinal Newman and Ursuline High Schools, the event is free and is open to all. Emily Dickinson writes, "A word is dead / When it is said, / Some say. / I say it just / Begins to live / That day." The literary arts will come alive at Poety Night and, as poetry does so well, make us feel alive and help us know what it means to truly live.
