We are now just a few days away from our final CBSL board presentations. It has been such an experience this past year, and I can’t believe that I have been able to accomplish so much through my project. I can honestly say that I didn’t think that I would be able to do so much, and have such an amazing time doing it. Looking back to my Junior year, I never would have imagined that I would spend close to thirty five hours at Oak Grove Elementary School spending time with the children.
I will definitely miss seeing those students, and having them all run up to me while giving me hugs and asking how I am. What those children have are genuine care and happiness. I am so thankful that I was able to be a part of their lives this past year. In fact, there are so many people that I am thankful for throughout my project that I don’t even know where to start. Firstly, I would like to thank my mentor Gabi Shader, and the P.E. teacher at Oak Grove, Mrs. Jacobi. I would like to thank my teachers, Mr. Contreras and Mrs. Eggleston. I would like to thank Mrs. Negri and Mrs. Rubattino for all their help. And lastly, I would like to thank all the students at Oak Grove for making my experience there so amazing. |
