TO MY LOVE
BY MORGAN WEBB

Like leaves in the wind you come and go
Of all the love I have-- you will never know—
You bring me up—higher and higher—then you go--
Leaving me lost in the wind, high above the dreadful snow.

With screams of furry and a heart feeling broke, I fall
The air whooshes by, it bights with anger and distress
Its claws scratching at anything it can get.
Feeling lost in the air, the ground is nowhere near.

With pain I land, sinking deep into the snow.
Darkness surrounds me I have nowhere to go.
Air becomes hard to find, with the high packed walls I find myself behind.
Looming above, with no light to see I might as well be blind.

The cold seeps through every thing I own.
I am lost deep in the snow, out in the open, all alone.
My bones are frozen, my mind is gone,
I fight to survive, because I must live on.

I bring my hands close, wrapping them around me
All I want is to be let free.
With all my strength I struggle to find a way out,
My mind thinks fast as I feel about.

I close my eyes, the tears have fallen
And all my memories are forgotten
Time passes as if I was never were here, and with beautiful brightness a light appears,
And with it I leave this world and my past, I have nothing left, nothing but unknown fears.
